A Sweet Story For Book Week Scotland...

Many of us love to discover a great story hidden within the pages of a battered, old book…but did you know that a wonderful story can even be hiding within the creases of a battered, old bookmark?

Once upon a time - a few weeks ago - we were visited by a lovely couple from Delaware, who revealed an unusual reason for wanting to visit us again. At long last, they told us, they would be able to replace the bookmark - crumpled, torn and pieced back together - that they had lovingly used since their last visit to Pittenweem Chocolate Company a couple of years earlier.

We were so pleased to give them a crisp, new bookmark - ready for a new chapter filled with globe-trotting adventures. Meanwhile, the couple from Delaware kindly left us with the old one as souvenir. Oh, the stories it could tell…

It’s Book Week Scotland! In celebration, please do share your stories about favourite books, bookmarks and reading neuks! And remember, our little cafe has a bookshelf and cosy, wee corners, ready to welcome book lovers, all year round…
